Intro Pages

In a zone broadcasting Information Services (example: Sports Scores) there are two types of pages: Data Pages and Intro Pages.

Data Pages are generated from a template into the Page Pane (you move them to the playlist) and expire when no longer containing valid information.

Time Ranges of Data Pages must be adjusted at the template level. Be careful not to change any other template Settings.

Intro Pages play at the beginning of a loop of information (example: “NHL Scores Tonight:”). Intro pages aren't generated automatically, the user has to create them and manually put them in the playlist at the right position before the data pages, and remove them when the data pages are no longer generated.

Instead of manually having to remove the intro page if there is no data, the user can use the AnyPlay plug-in within the intro page. This plug-in checks to see if there are valid data pages.  If there are no valid data pages, the intro page will not play.

Another option is to put a target page reference in the data page template.  The target would reference a page that identifies the data type in a different zone.  For example, the 'NHL' data pages would target a “NHL Scores Tonight:” title page in another zone. See Target Pages for details.

You can customize an intro page by opening it in CorelDraw. Be careful to change only design elements.
